The Thanet Schools Skip2bfit inter school skipping challenge event took place on Friday March 9th at Ramsgate Sports Centre. The morning was a great success with twenty five teams coming along to compete in the junior and infant categories.
The event was supported by Thanet District Council, Thanet Leisure Force, Thanet primary School Sport Association and tesco. As Skip2bfit is not just about skipping there was a smoothie station provided by Skip2bfit's fruit sponsors, Winterwood Farms. The event is provided free to all Thanet schools. All the children were given their own Skip2bfit rope and blueberry bounce ball for attending and trophies were presented to all the winners by the Mayor of Margate, Iris Johnson, and the Mayor of Ramsgate, Councillor Green.

Hon Laura Sandys came along early on in the afternoon to support the event. The prizes were presented by the Mayor of Margate Iris Johnson and the Mayor of Ramsgate , Councillor Green.
